Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account or downloading the Mi Recipes mobile app on iOS or Android (together, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Who we are
The Service is provided by Viet Phan, based in Helsinki, Finland. Viet Phan is the sole owner of Codepuro Oy, a Finnish limited company registered at the Finnish Trade Register under Business ID 3336034-4; Codepuro Oy is the related Finnish entity behind the Mi Recipes brand. During the v1.0 launch period, Viet Phan is the publisher of record on the Apple App Store and Google Play. You can reach us at contact@vietphan.info or contact@codepuro.com.
What the Service does
Mi Recipes is a personal recipe manager that includes:
- AI-powered recipe extraction from URLs;
- AI Chef, a conversational cooking assistant;
- Recipe management;
- Weekly meal planning;
- Shopping lists that merge and deduplicate ingredients.
The Service is delivered as a mobile app on iOS and Android. The website at mi-recipes.com hosts our privacy policy, terms of service, and support information. We may add, remove, or change features over time, including future user-facing web access.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Mi Recipes. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
By using the Service, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may hold one personal account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to the Service or other users.
Your content
You keep ownership of the recipes, photos, notes, lists, and other content you create in the Service (“Your Content”).
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely as needed to operate the Service for you — for example, syncing it across your devices, generating AI suggestions based on it, and backing it up.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to any content you upload, and you must not upload anything that infringes the rights of others or violates the law.
Acceptable use
- copy entire copyrighted recipe articles into the Service wholesale;
- abuse AI features to generate harmful, illegal, or deceptive content;
- attempt to break, probe, scrape, or reverse-engineer our systems;
- use the Service to impersonate others or send spam;
- use the Service for any purpose that is illegal under Finnish, EU, or your local law.

AI-generated content
Mi Recipes uses third-party AI (OpenAI) for recipe extraction, AI Chef suggestions, and translation. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsafe.
Always verify ingredients, cooking times, allergens, and food-safety information yourself before cooking or eating. Mi Recipes is not a substitute for advice from a medical professional, registered dietitian, or allergist, and must not be relied on for critical dietary, medical, or infant-feeding decisions.
Subscriptions
The core Service is free. Premium features are available through a paid subscription offered via the Apple App Store and (in future) Google Play.
- Subscriptions are processed and billed by Apple or Google — not by us directly.
- Pricing and currency vary by region and are shown to you before purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID subscription settings or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- A free trial may be offered. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, the trial converts automatically to a paid subscription.
Refunds
Because billing is handled by Apple and Google, refund requests must be submitted through their support channels. We cannot issue refunds directly.
Nothing in this section limits any refund or withdrawal rights you may have as a consumer under Finnish or EU law (for example, under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act).
Intellectual property
The Mi Recipes name, logo, website, app, and underlying software are protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws, and are owned by Viet Phan (or Codepuro Oy as related entity) or our licensors.
These Terms don’t transfer any of our rights to you except the limited right to use the Service as intended. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the app Settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, pose a security risk, or if we are required to do so by law. When your account is deleted, Your Content is erased according to the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to keep it reliable, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law, the Service provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, or damages arising from reliance on AI-generated output.
Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory Finnish or EU law (for example, liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or statutory consumer protection rights).
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Finnish law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.
Disputes will be resolved by the Helsinki District Court (Helsingin käräjäoikeus), unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home country, and you can use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you don’t agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.
